Nearly a decade ago luminary stylist & artist Lysa Cooper entrusted this sensational piece to us. She saw in Morphew a worthy place for one of her greatest treasures, knowing we would find it's correct forever home. Designed by the creative French master Jean Charles de Castelbajac in 1988. He designed a limited run of these coats to bring joy to the dark days of the 1980s ravaged by the AIDS pandemic. One of his conceptual creations he calls his "ACCUMULATIONS. Lysa Cooper was the perfect muse to sport this huggable piece of joy as she romped from Paris to London to NYC & LA. Mingling with close friends Keith Harring & Stephen Sprouse in NYC & V Westwood in London. First exhibited in Miami during Art Week 2017 the piece caught International press and we heard from JCdC himself about it. The Metropolitan Museum of Art was interested in it for the exhibition CAMP. They ended up sourcing a multicolor version as seen in the film 'Pret-a-Porte' Gaga famously wore his Kermit ACCUMULATION in 2009. We have had innumerable celebrities in this piece from Katie Couric to Heidi Klum, because who can resist being bundled up in such joy?
Vintage condition: Very Good.
